Before I started my workday today, I was doing my typical morning walk around the park that is across the street from my office. As I was walking along the path, a young runner was coming from the opposite direction. She passed me and then circled around and stopped me and asked, “You’re my dermatologist, right?” I looked at her and of course recognized her. I had done skin cancer surgery to treat a basal cell skin cancer on her nose. She got teary as She told me, “I just had to stop you. I’m cancer free because of you. I just had to tell you because I knew it would make your day.”
She is absolutely right. What an incredible way to start my Friday.
